As young women we need to have direction, we need to learn how to dream and to set goals for ourselves. Knowing who you are and understanding your gifts and talents will help you find your direction in life easier then most. I know this might sound crazy, but when choosing your career path never look at a job based on the salary, but look at where your passion is. If you choose something based on money you might find that in the next ten years you will be looking for something different, bored of the job you doing right now. Your success lays in your blessings and your blessings lays in your passion. The world is you oyster.






Young woman you are gifted and until you know what your gifts and talents are, you will never reach your full potential . You are born to lead, people think to be a leader you have to the be the boss or the “man” on top.






Being a leader is more then just your position or ranking, you must be a good listener and when you listen you must hear what others are saying, being able to motivate and captivate people around you, do not demand respect but work to gain the respect of your peers and be humble. In South Africa we have a saying, “umtu ngumtu ngabantu” meaning “ a person is a person because of people. Being humble and acknowledging the people around you shows your humanity (ubuntu). You might not be the boss or have a higher ranking, but you can be a leader.






As you choose your direction, setting your goals, do not be limited to your surroundings or your resources. Those who make it in life, are those who saw something in nothing, they set their sights on their dreams and set out to reach them. The are always people standing on the door step of your destiny, who want to close the door to your success, telling you, you are not going to make it fear in life, you will fail and that you will never succeed. You need to persevere and push you’re your way through.










Take advise, ask questions from the experienced, gain wisdom and understanding of how to get to your destination, find people in the industry you are in or want to be in and ask them for advice. Never listen to negative people and do not surround yourself with them. Stick with people who are motivated and motivating, people of the same yoke. If you want to be the best, one of a kind, then you must be prepared to face one of a kind problems. Young woman have direction, set goals and dream. The only person that can help you succeed is you and the grace of God.






I’m not saying you should not seek help, seek help, seek good help, but do not depend on those people for your dreams to come true but it is up to you to make sure they do.
